Need something special that we don't offer? Our staff can also work with you to develop classes on hard-to-teach subjects. We work with all teen demographics, including teens at risk.

Since 1999 we have served to the community over 10,000 financial education hours to youth in Minnesota.  We have relationships with outside funding sources so that we can also help you with grant money, guest speakers, and  classroom materials from the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE) and various other government agencies.

TRAVEL BUDGETING

What does it take to go on a dream vacation?

Maybe it is less than you thought.

Most teens have never planned a vacation and over 65% of teens have never left the state they live in.

This class is a team building lecture that has students plan trips to very different places.

Students work in teams to figure out travel methods, room rentals, and planning for sightseeing for a ten day adventure. They use real life numbers, travel books, and planning worksheets to create a travel plan to places like Australia, Florida, or North Dakota.

Teams compete with a QUIZ at the end to see if their trip can also survive a few costly mishaps. The best vacation planners will win the day!

This class uses major math skills, critical thinking, team building. Students need to develop new thinking skills to learn to read materials like maps and configure money exchange rates.

AND IT'S WAY FUN!
